Stewardship in the Scriptures

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?

If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well," but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good it is? So faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

Indeed, someone might say, "You have faith and I have my works." Demonstrate your faith to me without works, and I will demonstrate my faith to you from my works.

James 2:14-18

Stewardship Mission statement

The committee's mission is to promote and energize an active and involved parish culture in which there is an awareness that God is the source of all we have and are, and that we are all sharers in God's work.

More specifically our Mission is to:

• Explore new ideas and increase Parish awareness of existing stewardship opportunities.


• Encourage all Parish members to give “thanks” for God’s gifts and share their time, talent and materials resources.


• Acknowledge the many efforts, large and small, that are underway within the Parish and surrounding area and by individual Parish members.


• Support the stewardship efforts in the Parish.
