The Ladies of Charity was founded by St. Vincent de Paul in 1617 as a service group to the poor in France.
The St. Regis group of the Ladies of Charity is one of more than 200 such groups in the United States. Its main function is to provide emergency food, clothing and transportation to the needy of Oakland County.
Located at St. Hugo Parish, the ladies operate a food pantry and a clothes closet for collection, sorting, and distribution of resources.
Also see St. Vincent de Paul for information on helping with the semi-annual clothing collections.
