- The Faith Formation Program is established to help students learn and understand the teachings of the Church through weekly sessions. The program adheres to the four fundamental tasks of catechesis as presented in the General Directory of Catechesis: promoting knowledge, liturgical education, moral formation and teaching to pray.
We follow a curriculum similar to that which is in our St. Regis School, adhering to criteria set forth by the catechetical documents of the Church. This criteria includes but is not limited to: content which stays true to the sources of Scripture, Tradition and the Magisterium, authentic and complete presentation of the Gospel message, appropriate pedagogy based on age and maturity and the use of information as well as formation.
- The Faith Formation Program is served by volunteer catechists, dedicated Catholics who understand their faith, are committed to this faith and are filled with zeal to share it with others.
- The Faith Formation Program recognizes the fact that parents are the primary teachers of their children. It is in the family, the Domestic Church, where children are first exposed to the love of God and taught to follow Christ. We commit ourselves to cooperate with and assist parents in making the teachings of Jesus viable and meaningful in the lives of their children.
